Aquatic Exotics

Description:  
This fast-moving video was produced to be used with Minnesota Sea Grant’s Aquatic Exotics Traveling Trunk or on its own. It uses a "Bill Nye the Science Guy" approach to teach middle-school children about the problems aquatic nonindigenous species pose. It explains terms like aquatic, habitat, competition, and native species. It focuses on purple loosestrife, sea lamprey, and Eurasian watermilfoil. It was produced by the Minnesota Department Natural Resources (MDNR) in cooperation with the Bell Museum of Natural History and Minnesota Sea Grant College Program.

Intended Audience: Designed for middle-school children.
